WASTE OF MONEY
If you have a pet that has any genetic issues that could be identified from the second you bring them to the vet for their initial visit. DO NOT GET PET INSURANCE IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They're going to claim that it is a pre-existing condition from before your insurance starts and won't cover it no matter what you or your vet says. Because let's be honest who gets pet insurance before they get their pet in hand plus for the insurance to be active you have to get them the medical records anyways. So make sure you look through your pet's medical records before you buy pet insurance because if anything has been sited in the records and it becomes the issue in the future, well you are hooped.
Our pet has a growth deformity that needed surgery to fix it will potentially cost us from 6k to potentially 20-30k. You would think that this is something that was unpredicted and what this is meant to help you cover but nope. The rep at Fetch tried to help me set up a call with management to see if it was worth going through the appeal process. Not once did I get a return call from them, I only got a hold of a manager once I called back the 3rd time after 2 weeks and 2 requests to talk to management. I waited on the cancellation line for 20 minutes but the second I called their help desk line someone picked up right away. They are not in the business to help you, so if you have a specialty pet or a pet that is genetically predisposed to issues. SAVE YOUR MONEY get a credit card for pet bills or start a savings fund for them. Because the few thousands of dollars I have spent on insurance for my pets have just gone down the drain.
