I greatly appreciate the online drag & drop claims process that make submitting claims a breeze, the personable customer service responses I receive when I have questions, and the EOB's that explain very clearly the amounts I am receiving back once my claims have been processed. I've insured my cats with Embrace Pet Insurance for 12 years, and I'm very happy with their service.

The app makes it easy to submit a claim. Just enter the info, snap a photo of the receipt and upload. Processing is very fast. This has been a great experience so far. I would highly recommend Embrace.

there is nothing unique about embrace

there is nothing unique about embrace. Nothing special. They use a combination of insurance riders and discounts to try to sort of confuse the insurance issue. Ultimately with the combination of discounts and additional required riders to match my current policy there was no savings. In the end, it was probably just a little bit more expensive, but not enough to be bothered by. It’s just as unnecessary. It’s unnecessary to sculpt their insurance the way they do. I saw no value.

My 10 yo dog passed on 10/4/24

My 10 yo dog passed on 10/4/24, the rep helped me with all the info I needed to process my claim, cancel the policy going forward and general info I needed. If I get another dog I will again use Embrace was coverage.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
