I just turned in my claim

I just turned in my claim, but this is the second claim (different dog), and Embrace handled it fairly. I just turned this claim in, and am pleased with how easily it is to maneuver around the web site.

Payments increase at extreme rate every year

I couldn't tell you what the payout process is like because I never had to make a claim. YET, my policy started out at $63 a month, the next year was $86, the next year went to $98 and this year they wanted $132 a month. I can't imagine what the monthly charge would be 5-6 years from now when I would likely need to use the policy. I cancelled and just started putting $150 aside for vet bills. If I would have put away $100 a month from the beginning I would have $3600 already and $10k by the time I likely need it.

This is our first submission of Vet…

This is our first submission of Vet bills for Mahala due to severe allergies. With a medication (twice) and a change in Mahala's dog food the allergies have gone away. The Purina RX Hydrologist dry food Mahala is back to being her energetic fast runner. Your web Site was simple and easy to use for entering the Vet Bills. The RX dog food bills will follow shortly. Very hard to get claims approved

Very hard to get claims approved. Very dissatisfied. Much easier with my other dog’s insurance. And they about doubled the new year premium. Probably going to drop them for all the frustration.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
