Great experiences with Embrace

We have had Embrace Pet Insurance for 2 years. They have quickly and correctly processed all of our claims so far. It’s been super easy to file the claims on the app. Also, customer service has been outstanding! Will be making a claim for my dog’s knee surgery in the near future.

This was the first time I submitted a claim. Had a little difficulty on line but when I called the representative was very helpful and pleasant. She walked me through it and the claim was submitted without a problem.

I moved and they charged more money. Scam

I moved and called the change address. Despite the fact that I use the same vet they made my policy way more expensive just by changing my mailing address. Was scammy and the man on the phone was very unprofessional and rude to me. I canceled.

Not worth the expense

Nearly all claims submitted over 2+ years were denied outright or when paid the reimbursement was a fraction of what we paid to our veterinarian. Even with partial reimbursement when our dog had pneumonia and our cat had skin lesions we never came close to the amounts we paid for premiums. We would have better better off just paying the vet bills with no insurance rather than paying the premiums.

I have had the insurance for 1 1/2…

I have had the insurance for 1 1/2 years now. I have not had any problems submitting a claim. The website is easy to use, they communicate quickly, and I have not had any problems getting a claim approved.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
