Just like all other pet insurance…

Just like all other pet insurance policies, you pay them monthly, they increase your annual for no reason and find ways not to cover expenses. Not to mention, with high deductibles and low reimbursement rates, so even if you get it covered you are still out of pocket a majority of the expense. I would have saved $15K not having any pet insurance. This is a scam, they all are.

When I try to log in, I can't

When I try to log in, a notice says "Unavailable at this time. I called and the girl contacted a computer geek at you company to fix the problem, and she did but I just tried to log in this am and the problem is happening again. I cannot use your services if I can't even get into my own account. Please fix this and let me know when it's fixed. I will give you to the end of the month. If not fixed by then, I will be cancelling my policy. Thank you Dave Chabriel. Policy number is EP00904978

I wasn't sure how this would go

I wasn't sure how this would go. I've had pet insurance with Embrace for 4 years now and had not yet submitted a claim (should have because of my accident prone pup, but forgot to submit before the end of the term period). Well, my pup joined the "torn ACL/CCL" club this year. She had her initial evaluation with her regular vet in Silver Cliff, CO, and was referred to an Orthopedic group in Colorado Springs. She had her surgery on March 17th. I submitted the claims for the initial evaluation appointment and another claim for the surgery. Absolutely no problem submitting the claim through the website. So easy and strait forward. The claims were reviewed and approved within a week! And my reimbursement was deposited into my bank account within 2 days of the claims being approved! Highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance. Just be sure to understand your policy limits and definitions. Educate yourself so you know what you can actually file a claim for.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
