Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Purchasing Embrace pet insurance was the best decision we could have made! In 2010, we lost two senior dogs to serious illnesses and incurred many thousands of dollars of veterinarian bills during their last days. When we rescued a young dog last year, we wondered if it made any sense to get health insurance for him. Well, during this second year that we have our 2 1/2 year old dog, he has had a bad time caused by what is thought to be an inhaled foxtail that could have killed him. The treatments and surgery have cost almost $4,000. Embrace has covered exactly as they represented, and we are so happy we made the decision to buy insurance. I am recommending Embrace to all of my pet loving friends!

Having tried a number of other companies, with poor service results by any measure, we were referred to Embrace. Their policy options allowed selection to meet our needs, and it just got better. Beginning with the first claim, and for all subsequent claims, the response was prompt, any questions and necessary clarifications were handled quickly, and payment was delivered when promised. This was our first experience with a company committed to service and the well-being of our dogs (all 5 of them). I have two boxers that are insured by Embrace. The reason that I chose Embrace was because they cover breed-specific conditions and their ratings were all the best that I had seen. I have been with Embrace since 2009 and have had nothing but good experiences with them. They truly live up to their ratings. I've emailed and/or called them multiple times over the past couple years with questions about my claim, policy, etc. Each individual that i've spoken with has been wonderful in explaining things. They are a truly straight forward company, what they say that they cover, they will cover. My refunds are deposited into my bank account automatically, and I receive an email that tells me what my deposit is going to be, and when I should expect it. I also love the Wellness flex accounts that have come out. You spend ~$150 and get ~$200 in Wellness refunds (Savings of $50). Truly worth it, in my opinion...

Embrace just covered our latest doggie issue -- entropian eyelid surgery for our bulldog. They also covered our other bulldog's elongated soft palate surgery a couple years ago. Both issues are genetic for bulldogs, but Embrace covers them which is what makes them superior to so many other pet insurance companies. I so wish I had Embrace a few years ago for my only other little guy who passed away of pulmonic stenosis. I won't ever be without Embrace's coverage on my dogs again. I have to pay the $500 deductible and the monthly premiums, of course, but after that it's total peace of mind. I don't have to worry about making difficult decisions if they get sick or in an accident or who knows what, and that makes it worth it.

This is my first time having pet insurance and I am so grateful that I found Embrace. I have a young Golden Retriever who has had some digestion and skin issues (most recently he caught giardia) and it makes me feel safe knowing he has the best company covering his needs. They are quick, friendly, and extremely helpful. I recommend them to everyone I can!
