1st claim submission

The claims submission process wasn't that bad but the system was slow. Not sure if it was my internet connection or the website. I can give a better review of the reimbursement process once I see how long it takes to settle my claim and whether they cover what my policies says it will.

Embrace has been a lifesaver!

We initially got coverage for our rescue pup when he was just a few months old. Glad we did, because he developed luxating patellas when he was about 1.5 years old and required surgery on both knees. The surgery for the second knee failed a few months later, and since then, he’s become something of a special needs dog with a wrecked knee, and now a bad back. Thanks to Embrace, we’ve been able to get him the surgeries and ongoing rehabilitation care he needs to remain as mobile as possible. Yes, our premium has increased over the past 9 years, but we couldn’t have provided the treatment he needs without Embrace. Their customer service has been excellent any time I’ve had questions. Claims submission is easy to do online, and processing time is usually pretty quick. I recommend Embrace to everyone I know that has pets. They’ve been a lifesaver for us!

Insuring My Pet's Well-being

This is my first insurance for my pet and I'm glad I did it. The Wellness policy is great because it reimburses expenses for vet appointments, vaccines, grooming, and practical things we need to keep our pets happy and healthy. Embrace is awesome when processing claims. I sent two claims in and before I was finished checking to see If I had any others, they had processed and approved the claim, wow. I have had to call Embrace to get vet support for my pet who was exhibiting some symptoms I wasn't familiar with and his vet office was closed. They gave me good sound information and suggested things I could do until I was able to get him to his vet. That's an excellent service. I'm going on my third year with Embrace and I have no complaints.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
