Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

The payoff on my claim is way too slow. I was told I would receive my check by the 14th of March, it is now the 18th and no check????

My dog was seen at a vet for a possible ear infection on 12/4/2021. He was treated and released. My dog was taken to the vet on 2/18/2023 and I was told he is not covered because there is a 12 month waiting period. The gaps between the 2 vet visits is approximately 15 months which is much longer than the 12 month waiting period. Embrace is saying he wont be eligible for coverage until 2/18/2024. Also, my dog has a small mass on his chest his whole life which is roughly the size of a dime. This mass has remained the same size his whole life. Embrace rep, told me since we dont have exact explanation of the cause of the mass, my dog is no longer covered for any time of cancer. In all, avoid Embrace pet insurance at all cost. They lie, they deceive, and they dont uphold their policies. I dont understand how they are still in business. Response to Embrace(3/24/2023) I am posting this as a response to embraces comments since I cant respond directly. I just want to clarify that the response by Embrace is intended only to support their interests without any accurate information. I have purchased hygiene products from my vet for my dog's entire life. Whether it was ear cleaning liquid or toothpaste and because of this, they wont cover my dog. They handpick the facts which fit their interest and exclude the others. The dates referred by Embrace's response are hygiene product purchases because I couldn't buy the same products at my local Petco. It's normal upkeep and maintenance just like brushing their teeth and clipping nails. With Embrace's logic, if I continue to clean my dogs ears on a consistent basis then he's not covered, but if I stop and actually let them get infected, then he's covered. What kind of stupid nonsense is this? I am so glad they responded to my complaint because their response shows how fraudulent and incompetent they really are.

The app is easy to use and to the point. The Embrace team are super helpful as well and helped me with a hiccup I had. Thank you guys for the help!

Been a customer since 2020 I believe. So far customer service has been great and the processing of claimed are pretty quick. Only downside is my dog had some few pre-existing conditions when I signed up. But so far coverage for everything is decent. Especially with adding wellness rewards and being able to have alternative care (hydrotherapy, acupuncture, etc) is great! Love the referral bonuses as well! The prices and coverages still beat the competitors.
