This review may go up. However, I still have an outstanding claim they say "Waiting on more information" But I sent in the visa bill and itemized invoice from the vet. Still nothing and that's from November

Help when I needed it

I bought pet insurance when I got my rescue pup, hoping to never have to use it. 10 months later I was at a top notch veterinary clinic trying to figure out why my pup started having seizures. Thank goodness for Embrace Insurance, I’m not sure what I would have done without their help with the bills that came from the visits.

Uploading vet bills is frustrating

I may be looking for a different pet insurance because I cannot do computer uploading of files. I prefer the vet provider to submit the insurance paperwork like people doctors do.

Horrible Insurance

I have had embrace pet insurance since our dogs were in our care. As of the past year they have went down hill completely. We have had issue with them paying our claims. they put your claim on hold, then tell you it can't be covered because of something that was in their chart the was a comment or something. if you want wellness that is all they are good for but If something does happen to your pet do not trust them to pay out the bill.

Overall great company

Customer service is phenomenal. However the company desperately needs to update the app. Being that I have a special needs dog I use it pretty frequently and I am constantly having issues with the app glitching not getting passed certain pages and claims not submitting properly because of it.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
