Embrace Pet Insurance Is Great!

Embrace provided excellent care and coverage when our pet cat recently needed surgery to repair his leg and hip. Filing claims with Embrace is very easy, and their response times have been excellent. This was a complicated surgery, and we received the payment for our claim, without question, in a very timely manner. Their customer service reps are great! Highly recommend this company for pet insurance.

Not satisfied

It took quite awhile to get reimbursed when my cat had a urethral obstruction. Then my payment went up by over $20 the following year… they said it was because my animals got older. My dog is only 3 years old, and I was told it will go up about that much every year due to aging.

I can't imagine not having Pet Insurance. There was no question that my cat could be treated No worry about affording her bill. Insurance paid the claim within four days. FOR PENNIES A DAY, IT IS PART OF CARING FOR YOUR ANIMAL, AS IS FOOD & SHELTER!

Terrible

Terrible. Didn't pay a claim on a puppy I bought because it was born with a hernia. Ipaid for a whole year! Had nothing to do with its medical but they wouldn't pay. Called it all pre existing. I do not recommend them. IT WAS A PUPPY, 6 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE INSURANCE! NO WAY IT WAS PRE EXISTING. Now they are charging me and I canceled.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
