This pet insurance is a scam

This pet insurance is a scam. I submitted a claim for an emergency visit for an allergic skin reaction, and it was denied because my dog had had an ear infection months before. These two instances are NOT RELATED, but now I must wait a year to submit any dermatologic claim, and if she has another skin condition in that time that year is extended. Do not waste your money on this, I would've saved just paying out-of-pocket.

Very dishonest company I believe!!

Very dishonest company I believe!!! It took them MONTHS after my claim for over grooming from an allergic reaction, NOT a pre-existing condition, to supposedly get records (they asked for those when we signed up, almost 2 years ago), and they even asked for records from a clinic my cat had NEVER been to. They then denied the claim, saying she had pre-existing conditions, which she does not have, first of all, and even if she did, are not related to an allergic dermatitis from the grass. Very shady, and I have cancelled my policy!!!!

Waste of Money. Denied All Claims.

I submitted two separate claims for two separate issues. One was denied due to not having enough medical history (because he was a previously healthy indoor cat). The second, a gastrointestinal bleed in my dog's stomach was denied because TWO YEARS prior he had an obstruction - that he ultimately passed naturally. Embrace denied coverage for his gastro bleed because his hospital visit two years prior referenced stomach issues that were not at all related. I had been paying $275 a month for over a year to Embrace to cover my four animals. It was money down the drain, as they never reimbursed me for a singular claim that I made.

I have been with this company for 3…

I have been with this company for 3 years. I sang all the praises for them and their practices. Then the 2nd year started with the attiude each time I called so I would hang up and try another phone person. When I started with this company it was pretty much one person answering the phone at his home as the customer base was still low. I have seen big changes and the attitude is well don't like it then leave. I was so happy the first 1 1/2 years but now things have changed and I have decided I will be changing too. My change is to move to a company that is looking out for my animals and my pocketbook. I have had sarcastic answers and downright dismissal in several phone conversations. Even nasty when I was trying to pay my yearly bill. Sad state of affairs from the first 1 1/2 years of insurance. I also was sent a wonderful box of delicious cookies as a gift at one time now I can't get a straight or pleasant answer to my questions. Oh, don't expect too much coverage unless catastophic as it won't be paid for unless you have the added expense of Wellness Insurance. Dental hygiene is know to be a key to a human or pet's good health but not here. Will pay for extractions but not a cleaning that could be a preventative to heart disease. So pay the premium then pay more for Wellness !!! I thought health insurance was the path to wellness. Dr Kendra Sullivan Godin

This was our second claim on this dog…

This was our second claim on this dog this year and the claims process was much better. I am assuming this is because Embrace has already received all of the dogs medical history and verified that she is health through her records and Veterinarians. The first claim was a nightmare and took forever to resolve. Not satisfied to this day.
