Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Our poor dog had a terrible beginning to 2024. Bone fragments cut her insides and then her tail got infected and they had to amputate 3-4”. She is fine now, but very scary. With the exception of vague descriptions on specific records needed to complete the claim, all was in the end settled and monies delivered to my account.

This company is the best! I called in and spoke to a very knowledgeable representative. I needed information regarding neutering my mailbox. She gave me more information than I had ever imagined. She was informative and helpful in all sorts of ways. She also had a lovely personality. I’ve had nothing but great experience with this from my boxer.

Edit note - your claims team reached out in February to an incorrect email address according to your advisor. They are resquesting information from my breeder and their vet that was not performed, nor was I aware I would need when starting this policy. Wish I would havr known. Embrace has been holding 2 claims of mine for my puppy because they say the don't have all of his information. He is a pure bred pup and all of his records have been provided by myself and the previous vet. They decline payment frequently and request additional information on almost all claims, even though I provide all bills and the soap notes in advance.

I had to provide documents from 4 years ago from two different vet clinics for medical history. Embrace told me that they had requested these documents from the clinics for months but it was clearly a lie. I had to do it my self, ridiculous. Afterwards, my claim took about a month and a half to be processed before I got a refund. The only reason I received a refund was because I fought long and hard against them, even providing x rays, because they claimed “pre-existing condition” over a skin mass that was found 3 years prior. But the real reason we cancelled our policy was because after a year of owning the policy, Embrace decided to increase our premiums by 50%! Stating that because our dog was 1 year older (13yo), inflation, and costs in my area this justified such a large price increase. I highly discourage anyone getting pet insurance. Save a little money each month and invest it. This option is significantly better than giving your money and your time to these insurance companies. They created more stress for me during a time of need. I cancelled and will not be looking back.

I can’t explain how grateful I am that this process was so simple! We got a terminal diagnosis for our pet and the claims process was easy and quickly resolved. I highly recommend this company.
