Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I've had embrace insurance since my pet was 3months old ...essentially have paid thousands of dollars over the last 14 years....i tried to file a claim early on and was quickly told that wasn't included.... i haven't had another claim until now...and i submitted my pets first hospital bill...its still under review... i submitted a lesser vet bill and it was process and only $35 of a $550 bill was paid... im very disappointed with your practices and feel as if ive been paying into a racket!!! so disappointed and would never use u again...and if anyone asked id advise against it as well!!!

Embrace was great about responding to claims for my puppy who fortunately seems to be fine now. Uploading vet bills was fast and easy. When I had a question about how to separate wellness charges from medical charges on the same bill, Embrace customer service was very responsive and took care of it for me. I’m happy I chose Embrace.

Each time I called in to get an update on my claim, the people I talked to were very nice and most importantly knew what they were doing and what was needed to get everything taken care of. It may have taken a little longer than I anticipated, but in the end, everything worked out and I am very happy with this insurance.

They bank on our ignorance, naivete. Like many of the other pet insurance companies out there, they don't cover the necessary stuff for pet well being. Like spay and neuter, which can be very costly but is necessary for the longevity and overall good health of most pets. They only cover emergencies --and there are caveats to that. Everything else is "wellness" and they only cover $250/year. When I went to cancel this policy, the customer service rep brow-beat me, talking over me for goodness knows why and refused to listen. I had to get nasty and tell her that this talking over me and brow-beating me into wrongness wasn't helping anyone, I'm an unhappy customer who wants to end the relationship. Enough said! Pet insurance should help pet owners lessen the financial blow of veterinarian costs. Instead this company is like human health care --lacking.
