What more could you ask for?

I reviewed a lot of insurance policies. The ASPCA policy was the most flexible with what we wanted for our pup, Dexter. My vet believed in their ability to service our needs and gave me two of her personal recommendations. It says a lot when my pups health care provider would trust them to insure her pets! I liked the flexible, budget friendly cost for services. I also love the fact that my pup can go to any vet, in any state!! We are planning on traveling more with him in the future but the peace of mind that his coverage is coast to coast is extremely appealing. We also decided to pick up the dental insurance for him. The cost is approximately .25 cents per day. I’m hoping he does not have any trouble when his baby teeth come. If he does, we’re covered. I would highly recommend that you do your research then check out the ASPCA! I don’t think that you will be disappointed.

Peace of Mind

Have not had the opportunity to use the insurance as of yet but still feel peace of mind that we have it. The only problem so far is that I keep getting e-mails telling me to register for the Member Center and when I try to do that it tells me I am already registered. Not sure if I am or not.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
