Easy, Helpful & Quick
HIGHLY recommend ASPCA pet insurance. My dog has had so many issues- stomach problems, ear infection, eye infection... and they have made me feel at ease. I always get paid back extremely quickly when I submit claims. When I have had to call for customer service, a real person picks up right away and makes it so easy. They really care about your pets!

Go with any other pet insurance company
This insurance previously did good to me but recently I’m just not a fan. In the months of April and May two of my dogs underwent neutering and dental cleaning with extraction. My dogs neutering was reimbursed the bare minimum even though it required so much medication during the procedure. I probably only got 10% back. When my dog underwent dental cleaning and needed teeth to be extracted, the claim came back denied as it was deemed that it was a ‘pre-existing condition’. This was an annual, routine dental cleaning in which this insurance company DENIED my claim. I filed a claim because the teeth extractions were unexpected. It was only found out through the procedure that my dogs teeth needed to be pulled, there was no way the vet knew that beforehand because the vet even told me they wouldn’t know if or how many teeth would need to be pulled. Also- preventative care insurance basically gives you back Pennies, not reAlly worth it. I even tried to change coverage so I can see if my monthly payment would go down and it didn’t even budge much. This is a not so great insurance company, I’m currently looking to go elsewhere.

I can't find a vet
I can't find a vet and when I did they didn't take insurance so I had to pay and wait to send in my claim
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250 or $500 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
Accident-Only coverage available.
