I have had two policies in the past…

I have had two policies in the past neither covered annual exams. My dog’s insurance was a great investment and helped greatly when she developed an illness. I had my cats insurance from @2012 to 2019. In December of 2019 at a vet visit the office noted we should consider prescription cat food for developing kidney disease. When we took him back to the vet a few months later the vet took blood work and recommended we start a medicine for his kidneys. When I submitted the bill it was denied and I was told it was a continuing illness from the previous year and was not covered. I still don’t understand the denial. Six years without a claim and then told it was not covered. We have been paying for meds and now infusions three years later and have no insurance coverage. I do not think the very limited coverage was worth much once a problem develops in an older cat. Money wasted for six years. I thought I had him covered for catastrophic illnesses but evidently it all has to happen in the same year. After talking with a rep I was told that the coverage really wouldn’t cover anything anymore since the kidney disease was life threatening I cancelled after many years with only a claim for one prescription being sent. Very disappointed!

Declined a valid claim

Said that an injury was pre-existing to decline a claim despite that the injury occurred while my horse was covered. I thought ASPCA would be better, but they're just as blood sucking as every other insurance company looking to deny every claim whether warranted or not. Disappointing.
