Wish I had insurance like this for myself!
I've had a couple of major unplanned health-related expenses for my Dog Freebie (poor choice of name), and ASPCA Pet Insurance coverage was great:
- Customer service is always friendly/sympathetic
- Processing is prompt
- Coverage is very reasonable
- The website is very well designed and easy to use.
I only wish my flexible spending and insurance for myself was as easy and as good as it is for my dog! Aspcepetinsurance should get into the people insurance business.
Aspcepetinsurance consistently exceeds your expectations. They're like the Amazon of pet insurance.

Koda's Acorn Experience
Koda, an 8 year-old Miniature Schnauzer, has been insured by ASPCA since she was a puppy. But it was not ever needed much until last month: After being sick for a few days, she was rushed to the Emergency Vets during the early morning hours. Exploratory surgery revealed an acorn cap in her small intestines that had blocked her digestive system. Having ASPCA insurance kept me from worry about the cost of her "acorn experience." Having her completely healthy beside me as I write is the end of that story, but we had a harrowing two weeks. Thanks, ASPCA, for your help. Receiving a phone call to check on her was a wonderful finale to her illness. The ease of filing electronically with direct deposit makes a distressing experience less distressful.

Amazing
My Luna got sick this past May. They have been so awesome getting my claims in and completed. It so easy to up load and just have them deposit into your bank account. They have called twice to check on her and even sent a card. Wow.... I wish our health insurance was as nice as they are.....
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250 or $500 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
Accident-Only coverage available.
