This rating is for my previous coverage …

The rating is for my previous coverage for my Rocky. Based on what I signed up for, I had a very good experience with ASPCA. I just wish the end-of-life benefits also included funeral expenses, instead of cremation only. I got something, though; and I'm very grateful. My new coverage for my Rambo just started, and I learned that the benefits have improved. Unlike previously, it will now cover 90% of the actual charges! That's very good news! Thanks, ASPCA.

You never know what's going to happen …

You never know what's going to happen to your dog, but when you need it knowing you cam have help is vey comforting. We didn't know my dog would be allergic to a shampoo we got him and we were very tight on money at the time. The vet contacted our pet insurance for us and we were reimbursed within a few weeks.

For the most part good insurance

This will be my 3rd year with this insurance. The first couple of years I've been very pleased with the insurance. I started my policy before the new plans became available which seem nicer than my current plan. The new plans will pay 90% whatever the vet charges which is nice, rather my plan evaluates all my charges and adjusts what they'll cover based on the national average (take note the new plans do NOT do this anymore). I can't switch polices because my pet's conditions will not be covered even though I've been insured with ASPCA the whole time because switching polices these conditions will be considered preexisting. In addition, ASPCA is incapable of providing my base premium cost so I can't do my own math with my veterinary professional discounts. With all that said, the customer service have been very polite and helpful with all questions and follow up. I've only spoke to one representative that I disliked. The insurance provides peace of mind, covered my pet's dermatology issues even through continuing care which is nice. Note you will see an increase in premium policy rates at 3 years and then 5 years. I plan to keep the insurance for the duration of my pets lives but I don't think I'll return to ASPCA with future pets.

Could Not be Happier

I was very impressed with the overall service and claim process. I submitted my claim online, which was very easy. They paid out my claims in a very quick manner and I could not be happier. My dog was becoming paralyzed and after an MRI we found out a disc was pressing on her spinal cord. She had surgery and is recovering very well. Without the insurance it would have been hard to do this on my own. I am so happy that Cookie was able to be saved with the help of the ASPCA Pet Insurance.

Owner

I had my first claim with ASPCA this month for my 9 year old dog, Sophie. She had dental problems. The vet submitted the bill and I was paid less deductible within 2 weeks. I did nothing; was so simple. Best pet insurance I've ever had. All others were such a hassle. You had to send every vet visit for the life of the dog for every claim, even though they already had those prior records. Took months to get paid. 10 stars for ASPCA
