Useless/ Waste of money
Useless/ Waste of money. I have had this insurance for all 3 of my pets for a few years now. I bought it in college and have kept it in my early career because I cannot afford an expensive incident with any of my animals. My dog suffered a bite wound to the chest and I finally needed to use ASPCA. I have illness and injury coverage and this was clearly an injury. He required surgery and several follow up appointments, tube insertion and removal, staple insertion and removal, bandaging and bandage changing, and the total cost reached $1500. I felt comfort in providing my credit card each time as I followed each appt by going home and submitting each claim. I now checked my account to see that $515 of his care was considered covered. My deductible is $500, with a copy of 30%, meaning that I am expecting to receive $10 from ASPCA. The “covered” charges are suspiciously close to my deductible and I am genuinely curious what would have been approved if I had submitted each receipt separately. I am going to debate it and consult my lawyer friend. It is ridiculous, unreasonable, and I wish I would have just saved my monthly payments instead of paying into this insurance plan.
