Most worthwhile purchase

Our 1 year old kitty got very sick over night. One minute she was bouncing around and within a few hours she was lethargic and dull eyed. We knew something was very wrong so we took her to our vet. It was a Saturday and they did not have overnight care, so they recommended the emergency vets just down the street. We took her there and they immediately started testing. We also had to pay almost $2000.00 up front. We thought we were going to lose our darling little fur girl. She was very sick and they still were not sure what was wrong. Knowing we had the pet insurance gave us the ability to have them keep testing. Our little girl had pancreatitis. Her total bill which included 24 hour care, many tests, I V meds, special diet, cost over $5000.00. Our sweet kitty got well and so did our budget. Our pet insurance reimbursed us 90% of our expenses, within a week of entering the claim.

Saved Tigers life!

I am very grateful for ASPCA pet insurance. Because I had enrolled my pets just one week earlier I was able to provide the care for Tiger after he was attacked by a stray dog. He has broken ribs and a puncture into his lung and abdomen. He needed urgent care to help him breathe. He was in “Kitty ICU@ at the the Emergency Vet for a week before we were able to bring him home. I spoke with someone regarding his insurance while I was at the vet with him. I was assured that they would be able to help me with the cost of his care. Because of your service I have my Tiger back getting healthy again. So thankful for having pet insurance.

I used to like ASPCA pet insurance but…

I used to like ASPCA pet insurance but not anymore. They have a fraudulent way of denying claims based on the fact that they start the new plan each year and any claim made in the previous calendar year does not get reimbursed. Let's say your pet gets symptoms on July 31st. Your new calendar year plan starts August 1st. That is the day you take him to the vet. According to ASPCA Pet insurance, the symptoms were in the previous year and wouldn't be considered for reimbursement. This is the most insane thing I ever heard. Like someone can plan illness or accident according to a calendar. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about these fraudulent practices. They used to be great but the last 3 years I have had the insurance they have reimbursed me NOTHING for hundreds of dollars of claims for new illnesses.
