Exceptional Service and fast processing…
Exceptional Service and fast processing of claims. So Thankful to have this coverage for my two Chocolate Labs. Especially after one had a Mast Cell Tumor. The two Surgeries and Oncology visit quickly added up fast.

Garbage Insurance (DO NOT PURCHASE!!!)
I highly highly do not recommend this insurance. We purchased this insurance the day after we purchased our puppy and thought we were in the clear when he experienced health problems, however just like most insurance companies they always find a way to get out of paying your claim. This insurance claims they will cover the costs of vet visits for UTI and ultrasound just to name a few, but guess again they won't. Get this insurance if you would like to pay extra money for no reason on top of your already expensive vet bills otherwise, look elsewhere. There is a reason this insurance is cheaper than others and it shows. I wish I would have known prior to so here I am warning others after me.

Very good insurance
Very good insurance. I have two dogs and have had several health issues. AKC was always very helpful and quick in processing the claims. Highly recommend it.

Monthly Cost
$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.
Waiting Period
Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims.
AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care.
Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
