I took my puppy to the ER because...

I took my puppy to the ER because of his lack of appetite. Constant throwing up and blood in his diarrhea. We tested him for parvo and it ended up that he has hook worms anc bacteria. It's just unbelievable that you guys can't reimburse me anything yet

You were very helpful.

You were very helpful. I received a polite email that my credit card had been declined. My account was hacked and used fraudulently so I had to get a new one. Your staff member was extremely pleasant and got my new card set up in under 5 minutes.

Friendliest and most caring staff

I have called several times and the staff is the friendliest and most caring staff I have ever spoken with. They answer all of my questions in terms I understand and never make me feel wrong for calling. Excellent customer service!!!!

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
