AKC | Pet Insurance Review

We have a brand new puppy and know that a good wellness program is very important in the first year of her little life. I researched all the pet insurance products and underwriters out there (more than I did for my own insurance). I chose AKC because of the balanced coverage: Wellness, Accident and Sickness and because the AKC is a reliable resource for new and experienced pet owners. We filed our first claim 2 days after Coco's first visit to the vet and received a check in less than 2 weeks for nearly 2x the premium - well before our second payment was even due...and thumbs up no questions from our vet.

I like speaking to a real person. I did not realise you have not set up a portal yet. That might be a good idea for those of us who travel and occasionally need access to our pets records to provide information to an emergency vet.

The people r so kind and helpful and resolve my claims very rapidly . I like having insurance with you all!

Even if I had to pay a bit more I wish the wellness benefit was more. Especially since we are very conscientious about his exams. But I am happy anyway and I love the customer service

Very dissapointed my dog had worms when he was younger and now that he has stomach issues not related to the words u are not covering any of his tests and medications.
