Very pleased with AKC Pet Insurance!
It's so easy dealing with AKC Pet Insurance! No matter what the question, when I contact them they have the answers. They are warm and friendly every time, and eagerly offer to help me resolve any concerns I might have. The insurance coverage I receive is well worth the monthly premium I pay. I'm so happy I chose AKC Pet Insurance for my dog, Ranger!

I just filed another claim and had another seamlessly successful AKC Pet Insurance experience. Friendly staff, prompt service. I wish my own health inisurance were as accommodating!

Genuine Interest
I have only called the customer service line 2-3 times, but each time I have called every single representative I have interacted with was knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, and took a genuine interest in my reason for calling.
Monthly Cost
$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.
Deductible
Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.
Waiting Period
Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims.
AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care.
Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
