An amazing company

An amazing company - 30 days after starting with the trail offer I decided to renew - good thing as my Corgi developed meningitis with expensive care over the next week - total bill at that point was almost 5K - after the co-pay and deductible they covered everything - no questions asked - You cannot go wrong here if you love your pets - and of course you do!

Once we got things straightened out

Once we got things straightened out, it was very good. It did, however take multiple (2) letters from the vet and some ranting on my part. After that, all was well....except for the pup.

Quality insurance for my new puppy

When I got my husky puppy last year, I decided to give the AKC pet insurance a try since it was offered to me for 30 days free when I registered my pup. After the 30 day trial I looked online at all the options I could choose and got the insurance that suited my needs for him. It has been very helpful with helping me pay for his wellness visits, preventative shots, flea and tick prevention and even helped me pay for his neuter. I have also been very satisfied with their quick service. In all, I would highly recommend the AKC pet insurance to anyone looking for Insurance for their pet .

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
