I think this is a great vet group. I had to bring my boy there for a first time today due to an emergency. He got a fish hook stuck in his nose. They fit me in quickly on a walk-in appointment, which they take daily between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.. they were quick to get us through registration and into a room. They did a quick history with me and then took my boy to the back. I came back 2 hours later and picked him up. They did extras for my boy as well. They trimmed his nails and never said anything to me about it. I only noticed that he had a manicure when we got home. The only thing that I didn't care so much about was when I checked in and asked them an approximate price for the services today, they couldn't even give me a ballpark figure for the services. The only thing they could tell me was the visit with the vet would be $54 and anything that the anesthesia cost. When I came back to pick him up that $54 had turned into $161. It would have been very I was going to come out of pocket for the visit. I didn't expect an exact figure, but I feel they could have given me some type of idea at what I was looking at. Overall, I would recommend this group.

The care of the animals is, for the most part, great. Vets are knowledgeable. The customer service is awful and deserves 0 stars. The constantly busy phone, the long wait times and the confusing communication always leaves me wondering why I don’t just to drive the extra miles to Oak Hill for a better customer experience. I wrote this review while waiting 30 minutes to pick up my pet; the first 15 minutes I waited without a greeting or any acknowledgement. UPDATE: I waited over an hour to get my cat. When they brought him, she told me, “if you ever wait more than 15 minutes, just let us know.” So it turns out it was all my fault in the end.

TERRIBLE. I went to put my dog down - both my husband and I, at two separate appointments, with two different vets. Both gave us false hope. We felt pushed into expensive medications, “give it another week”. The medications turned out to be $400 a month for our end of life 12 year old dog. Prices weren’t disclosed before. I feel like I was emotionally manipulated for money. And now we’ve been thru emotional hell for two weeks unnecessarily, at the expense of our dog. They wouldn’t even refund the unused (unopened meds) they just sold me same day, when we returned to put her down. Finding a new vet for my remaining baby immediately. I’ve dealt with this vet for a while cause the vets were good - even tho the staff is horrendous. It ends now. Find somewhere else, anywhere else.

The BVH has always been efficient, accurate, and helpful. They advise honestly and are straightforward. I appreciated this as we were faced with a life and death decision. If I could change one thing it would be to feel heartfelt warmth and compassion upon the death of an animal. I see it in the eyes of staff, but there is no time for grief, no space for warmth or comfort. A blanket and a gentle smile from the aide was so appreciated as I watched the life drain from our beloved buddy who gave us high 5s every morning. I know it is difficult to balance proper antiseptic and efficient care with warmth and grace in a practice that must make profit to survive. Maybe someday we will all be paid our worth, we won't have to struggle to provide or receive ANY type of healthcare, and we can comfort our beloved ones when they pass. 💙

Got in very quickly even though I was a walk in. They were kind and very attentive to my pets needs and fears.
