How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Woodland Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I haven't done a review in a long time but felt like this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this vet office, any vet office and/or busineess in general. Don't go in within an hour of closing. Multiple unfriendly office staff. They did not acknowledge most responses, they both acted like I wasn't there and/or speaking. No smile, no nice or welcoming tones. I communicated with someone extensively regarding a rx and when I arrived the 2 people at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about and said they could not accommodate my request. Finally, after someone overhearing the conversation in the back, yelled out instructions and therefore my request was filled, begrudgingly. I appreciate all workers that care for animals. I do not appreciate being treated poorly.

This isn't the vet office I use personally since I live an hour away but one of my client's dogs goes here and she was scheduled for a spay during her boarding. Drop off was easy, the building is very clean and organized and the staff were friendly and kind. For it being the morning of surgery day the energy was very calm.

I have been going to this vet since I moved to the area in 2006. Dr. Sharman is absolutely amazing! He is very kind and all my animals who have been so fortunate to have him care for them LOVE him! The other veterinarians in the office are also knowledgeable and care very much about the well-being of the animals. You can't go wrong with any of the Veterinarians there.

The staff at this clinic are just amazing, they have fit us in twice now for an emergency visit. The first for my bulldog who had a horrible allergic reaction to a wasp sting. The second for what I thought was a stroke in my older Boston Terrier. My vet never cut corners, she did extensive tests and we figured out she actually got into her brother's CBD medicine and was high as a kite 😅 She made sure both times that my dogs were gonna be okay before sending me home. The receptionists and vet techs have always been very kind and spoil my babies rotten ❤ I will always choose them first for all my dog's needs.
