How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Shelton Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I was very impressed with the Vet. She was very gentle, and thorough and checked kitten all over . The cat did not even know she was being inspected and given a shot. The cat was put back in the carrier by the "cat whisper ", who has exceptional skills not of this earth. No gloves were needed, and Kitten bites!

20 yr customer for my pets. Not happy with how it's being run the last few years. They may give good care, but if you need care quickly too bad, they don't leave any room in schedule for anything not planned long ahead. I understand being booked for routine office visits months out, but twice in the last 5 years now we've needed urgent care for our oldest dogs and we're supposed to plan this out months ahead somehow? Life, and end of life, doesn't work that way. This makes this even more heartbreaking and stressful. They desperately need an overhaul of how they manage scheduling allowances for things unable to be planned out in advance. My rating adjusted from the 4 stars it had for years down to just 2.

Behaves extremely unprofessional. Does not advocate for their clients be it the pet or the individual. I've used them for 14 years and will happily not be returning knowing my pet and I will get the best care at Grey's Harbor.

Seems like They are still operating as if we are still in a full blown pandemic in order to provide the bare minimum of services. No walk ins, appointment only. Wait outside in your car to be called. If you're looking for a vet to go to extra mile for you and your pet, this is not the place

They are the best with my baby who is a little butthead when it comes to getting his nails clipped. Other places won't even try (he's not ferocious at all, but sounds like it). They are all wonderful in the office and take excellent care of both my babies....Princess and Milo say THANKS!!
