How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Virginia Equine Imaging
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

I had a fantastic experience at VEI. The staff was extremely friendly and took their time helping me understand what I can expect with leaving my horse with them for a few days. He ended up staying longer than expected for an additional procedure and I know he was well cared for. Dr. Johns was friendly and caring and gave me the time to ask all my questions. She also coordinated care with my home vet. The facility was clean and beautiful. My discharge paperwork was detailed and well explained. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Always have a great experience with the team at VEI. Everyone is nice and put the horse first. The facilities are clean and comfortable for both humans and horses. Dr. Allen and team got to the bottom of my horse's issues and set a road map to success. Happy to say all is well and now will hopefully only seeing them for a yearly exam.
