How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pocoshock Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Love the staff at Pocoshock! They take great care of all my animals and always have good advice while considering different financial situations. They take time to discuss everything in detail, are extremely considerate to me and loving to my animals. Thank you ladies for everything you do! ❤️

Dr Larsen is a gem, and so are the vet techs. We love working with Dr Larsen, she's knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. Her staff always treat our dogs kindly. Unfortunately, dealing with the woman who works the front desk can be challenging. She is very cold, not at all personable, and is sometimes rude. The first time I thought she was just having a bad day but it's always the same, in person or on the phone. Everything seems to be an inconvenience for her and it poorly impacts the rest of the experience at Pocoshock.

Dr. Huth is amazing. She's straight to the point and leaves you with the options. My dog has seen her multiple times, and each experience has been great both in the exam room and at the front desk.

Veterinarian was very informative and caring. Received a follow up call a few days after visit. This was my first time at POCOSHOCK and I was pleased with the service provided to our pet.
