How to Save on Veterinary Costs at South Valley Equine
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Great Drs and Staff. Had great success with 3 horses over 5 years - everything from x-rays, ulcers, lameness. Highly recommend!

South Valley has provided excellent quality service on every aspect of veterinary care. They've bred some of my mares, keep my working horses going strong and have saved several horses on emergency visits!

Our mule coliced. We had two visits to local vets that sent him home and said he would be fine. When we finally got him down to Dr. Hammer, he was really bad. He came home 4 days later after great care from this facility. We didn't think we would see him again. We are very happy with the treatment we get here. We have brought 2 other mules down here before with the same great care.
