How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Equine Partners Veterinary Service

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Hutka is amazing. He is the best vet i could ask for. My horse was a walking accident, he was very knowledgeable and treated my horse with care for myself and my horse. Eventually, he had to put her down because she somehow broke her neck. He helped me stay calm and helped me understand the situation. He prepared me for what was going to happen and allowed me to take my time with her. It was devastating but he made the process as easy on me as possible. I couldn't ask for a better vet.

Had to call for an emergency on a Friday evening. Helped me with my horse having a laminitis issue. Very nice and patient with me. Very thorough! I would recommend.

Absolutely awesome practice. Knowledgeable, kind and caring with both doctors and staff. My horses are happy and healthy thanks to their care and advice. Never any issues with call backs, appointments or accessibility. And they also answer all of my questions no matter how silly i feel they may be!

Dr Hutka did a very thorough lameness exam on my gelding and got to the root of the issues we were seeing. I felt the prices were very fair and Dr Hutka was extremely knowledgeable. I can't imagine taking my horse anywhere else!

I was very impressed by the care they gave my horse and others at the group scheduled appointment... The veterinarians we're both personable and knowledgeable concerning the needs of each horse... They took their time with each horse and client .. I appreciate their care and that time was taken to talk with each owner.. great experience!!
