How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Critter Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

These people are highly knowledgeable, very caring, very friendly to people who are worrying about the health of their "baby." I was there last night for my old boy, Dewey. The diagnosis was bad, but they gave us everything we needed in knowledge and medication to ease his pain until we decide when to send him home. They are so kind here. It isn't super cheap, but well worth every penny. Dr. Carmen did a big surgery on my older dog, and it went perfectly. Cheap for what was done. They care. About you. About your animals. They will do you both right.

Today was very unexpected for us we had to make the difficult decision to put our fur baby to sleep. We called our normal vet to get an emergency appointment but they were not available. After doing an online search we found this location. The love and care they showed while we had to face this difficult news was amazing. They made Simone’s transition so calm and peaceful. Thank you to everyone. We are devastated but knowing our baby was well cared for made all of the difference.

Very affordable and the care is so personable. My sisters dog passed away and her vet was too expensive to cremate him, so she took him to Critter Care and they were so compassionate! There are other vets closer to me, but Critter Care is always available when I have a question or concern about my dog and their prices are very reasonable!

Dr. Plumber orchestrated a solid care plan and medication regimen that gave my sweet Maggie almost a whole extra year with us after a very troubling diagnosis. Maggie stayed as long as she could. Her 14 years of life and her joint/spine ailments just took its toll. Dr. Plumber is an amazing and caring Veterinarian. I miss Maggie everyday...

I've known Dr. Palmer and her staff for many of years. Now. There was a brief break in using them for service related to the passing of family. Recently I decided to go back for a common maintenance visit. I'm hoping fingers crossed that they were simply having a bad day as the reception and level of help was nothing like what I've known to expect from critter Care. Normally they are very pleasant in greeting and very helpful with everyday needs. If it wasn't for what I experienced last week I would definitely give them five stars. We will just have to wait and see if that was a bad day or if things have declined.
