How to Save Money at Pawsitive Healing Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

They did an amazing job comforting me and my pup when she needed to have one of her eyes removed. She had been playing with my other dog and I think his nail scratched her eye. Later in the day it had gotten infected and they said they could not save it. I knew she was in pain and they advised me this was the best option because if they tried to save it there is a high risk of reinfection. I just wanted her to be out of pain ASAP. They stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process. Their fees were so affordable compared to other places and the staff was very kind. My dog healed perfectly! I highly recommend this place for your furry loved ones.

My dog went into labor Tuesday night and by her second puppy, began having complications. She had a total of 10 puppies but by the 7th one, she was as done. She was just too tired to keep pushing. We were told she needed an emergency c-section! After looking through so many vets, THIS place was definitely our best option!!! They charged us 1/8 of what all these other vets were charging us and they provided the upmost care to our pup! I cannot thank them enough! I cannot recommend them enough!! They truly care for you and your furry babies! I will forever be grateful for them and will definitely be returning for all our animals needs! Because of them, my pup and her babies get a chance at life! 10/10!!! Thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about Pawsitive Healing and their amazing team. From the moment we walked in the door as a semi emergency to the moment we left, they were so great with our dog, keeping him calm and got to him quickly despite being very busy. Brittany was THE BEST in dealing with our very anxious and protective pup. They are very affordable and I recommend you go here-you will not be disappointed. There’s a reason they have perfect reviews!

This place was recommended to me by my vet, because I needed a low cost option for my cat who needed an amputation. Not only was the staff friendly and took the time to explain everything and break down the cost, they were not pushy on vaxx (we are a no vaxx fam, so this was such a HUGE relief knowing that we weren't going to be forced into something we really didn't want to do). The surgery went great AND I was even refunded for things they didn't end up doing! I have NEVER heard of a vet doing this. I will forever and always recommend this place for anyone needing a vet who is lower cost, understanding, and honest. Thank you to the Dr and the staff for making a stressful situation, not so stressful.

They don't even deserve a star . I took my sick pup there last night . It took them forever to check me in. The lady upfront kept running around doing other things. So once we got checked in and brought in a room yet it still took awhile for someone to actually come in room. For being an emergency vet they lack big time. And before anything was even done they wanted pay up front. What ever happened to attending to a sick animal first before you worry about the payment. But I guess there is no true compassion vet out there anymore all there worried about is the freaking money 😡. And then they tell me she is in critical condition and do whatever but don't check with me on what there doing first. And I don't like it when they take my pet in the back room and do whatever I like to see what's going on . But I guess that's too much to ask. The. They tried to rip me off on top of it. I was in an emotional state already then I have to deal with this kinda stuff. So before you think about taken your pet to them consister another place instead of taken them there. And once again no compassion about my puppy doing that really tells me a lot about your clinic .
