How to Save on Veterinary Costs at 4S Equine Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have to preface tgis and say I have only sent a mare off to foal 1 other time, in my life, and it took me 2 yrs to get over what an awful experience it was. I did not know this mares foaling habits and wasn't going to be home on her foaling date. DR. Sirman and his staff were so happy and easy to work with. Also accommodating, as I decided to bring mare early a decision that ended up being perfect because she foaled just a few days early. All my updates about mare and foal were so kind . The care and acknowledgement that i would appreciate pics and updates. I would recommend them. My broodmare wasn't the easiest to deal.with post foaling and NO ONE was upset about it. Everyone took it in stride with kindness. 10 of 10 would use again!

I used 4S for foaling out my mare. She was there for about 3 weeks. The process was easy, I got to go visit her often, and I got a healthy momma and colt! Will use them again for her next baby.

Made an emergency farm call for my mare’s colic when I was without a trailer and no other local vet would come. They were awesome and took great care of my girl! Will absolutely use them again in the future.

Took my big boy in and he was given top-notch care. Took time to explain things to me as well. Highly recommend

I spent days calling around my local area seeking a vet that would still schedule a farm call. 4S got me scheduled for the same week that I called. Dr. Sirman came out to do a dental on my horse and made it so easy that my husband was able to take care of the whole thing while I was at work. My husband remarked that he was the most punctual and polite vet.
