How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Atascosa Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They are very busy, so they take your pet while you wait in the car. I would've liked to meet the Vet in person. The care is good, and the price is fair. I recommend them.

I went to the vet's office today. And the vet did not even talk to me. Just walked up and almost gave me the shot. Because I was holding my dog because he didn't even talk to me. Before he let me know that he was giving her a shot. Now my dog is struggling to breathe, and she's hurt really bad because of the shot. I'm not happy with the vet or the people who made me take my dog to the vet. If my dog dies, just know that you, your company, and your vet's office will be getting sued. My service dog is looking like she's going to die because of a shot that you didn't even tell me what it was. So thank you very much for probably killing my dog!

I'm Leaving four STars. For the reason is the vet was amazing. But the staff who took my dog out to me after we laid her down was inconsiderate and laughing during the process. Laughing while the families loss is going on, is not OK Rest in peace spicy! Be more considerate! Our babies mean more than you will ever know!💔

I was highly referred by a friend to this clinic last year when my Bean was sick but died before I had a chance to take him in. So when I got my new puppy Redd this year, I set up a visit. It was the Best referral ever. Dr. & Staff are Greatly, Knowledgeable, Caring and Kind. I'm not taking him anywhere else, we are here to stay. ❤️
