I moved to Loop 494 Animal Hospital after taking my beloved pets to another vetrinarian for over 20 years. I was worried about changing vets after all those years but the first time I walked in Loop 494 Animal Hospital I was impressedI brought my 14 year old Schnauzer and my new kitten into the office and we were treated like old friends. The kitten needed all his baby shots and his first checkup. My Schnauzer, who had only been seen by my old vet for her entire life, was relaxed. All went exceedingly well. I love that they keep me updated on medications and food items, especially those on sale. I am confident in their care. Everyone is kind and nurturing. A real gem of a Animal Hospital!

My babies have been coming here since they were 2 months old, they are now turning 5 years old 🩷 i recommend this place to anyone, especially with small animals!! They’re always so welcoming and they take extremely good care of your babies. You guys will be in great hands here.

We have used 494 for years and have found the staff and vets to be the nicest and most compassionate people ever. All of our dogs…..even some that are now at Rainbow Bridge have been cared for in the kindest and most caring way. Our dogs love the 494 staff and vets. They may expand someday…..we hope they don’t….great compassion for your animals and if I didn’t mention it very fair prices. We consider 494 Animal Hospital to be part of our family!

The service provided at this vet is excellent, my boys have been here since 2018 with Dr. Bobby Olivarez and he’s been simply outstanding. He just helped my chihuahua with a difficult injury where he suffered complications previously and he explained in detail how he can help, the risks that will be taken and how he can heal properly. I truly appreciate the reassurance he gave us, he also did come meet with me upon pick up to discuss the outcome of the procedure. Ms. Logan at the front was nothing but sweet and happily answered my calls the day my pup was in the whole day. I love this practice and I highly recommend it to anyone in my area.

So happy Loop 494 is still operating. Moved back to Houston after living away for the last 16 years. Decided to take my current cat to loop 494 to continue her vet care. She's young and doesn't have any health problems, but I'm happy to establish care with a reliable vet. Dr. Dori was very attentive and kind. She offered helpful advice with my beloved baby's shedding problems. The vet techs were all great. Love to continue to support loop 494 for 32 years and counting.
