How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Countryside Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Update: This is still one of the best veterinarian's in town and I highly recommend taking your animals here Very friendly and caring staff. They were so nice even though our dogs got sprayed by a skunk the morning of their appointment. They took great care of our smelly pups.

We just moved to the area in June. My Bella girl needed to be checked. They got us in the day we were moving in. I am grateful for their availability. While Bella was sick, they got us in with an oncologist when needed. They followed up. They provided great care. Finally, when it came time for my Bella girl to cross the rainbow bridge they were nothing but caring and sympathetic, and they cared for her so much. We hardly went to the Vet at our previous home, but when we did it was nothing like the treatment we received at Countryside. From the receptionist to the vet they were all so kind and caring. Thank you for taking care of my Bella girl.

Horrible experience! Our Vet on vacation, my cat had emergency sickness took him to this vet! Overcharged and bad communications! Terrible experience! Don't take your pets to this person! Mark Bailey sent this! Don't worry we will never come back to this place!

I am almost certain my dog Sancho did not want to come home from being boarded at Countryside. I could tell he was well taken care of but this staff always takes really great care of both my animals. Thank you for always being there for my animals and for me.

No where I would rather take my animals than to Countryside or Salt Creek. They've seen several of my animals and have always been very attentive, compassionate, and caring. Their staff is amazing.
