How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Companion Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. V is great with our dog, who can be a little grumpy at times. He's friendly and informative and takes his time with our animals to make sure they get the care they need.

If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. The worst customer service I’ve ever recieved in my life. They do not care about animals. Tried to hit me in the face while I was there to demonstrate how my animal could be going blind??? would barely look at my rabbit and gave me eye drops and said she was blind. Which she is not. Then when I called with more questions they were extremely rude and told me to go somewhere else. Wouldn’t give me replacement eye drops. Wasted 80 dollars. They said I should have called a few days earlier I said I was scared because they were barely helpful in the first place. No one should feel scared to get help for their own animals because of how rude and unhelpful an animal clinic is. Go somewhere else is what they told me. Take their own advice.

Dr. V. diagnosed my cat with a cancer that usually kills in a month or two. She is 15 months in and was snuggling in my arms this morning. I know she wont be here forever, but these extra months have been a true blessing. If he hadnt caught it early and got her started on meds, i wouldnt have her. I can't recommend them enough, and can't explain how grateful i am for him and his staff.

I have been taking my animals here for almost 9 years. Started with my cat and now my 2 dogs. Everyone here is the best. The techs, front desk, and the vet! Great service for our fur babies and they truly care. I want the best for my animals and I know I get that taking them here to companion! THANK YOU!

First time going to this vet. Everyone was really nice. The visit was quick but the doctor asked me lots of questions and took the time to be gentle with my cat. He was even friendly to my wild toddler. Pricing was great. They were understanding about why I hadn't gotten my indoor cat vaccinated in awhile. My cat would get a large lump at her injection site with her old vet and this new vet gave her a precautionary shot of steroids and allergy meds to prevent that because those lumps can turn into cancer. Definitely happy with the visit.
