How to Save on Veterinary Costs at El Cerrito Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Labels mixed animals(even under 50) pit, even when indistinguishable, as a way to force purchases for genetic testing. If that's not an issue w yall kk but it's an issue with me knowing how many are put down due to this type of obstinacy.

They have been providing care for our furry children for several years. Today we had the dreadful task of euthanizing one of our geriatric cats. Wonderful bedside manners. Everyone was nearly as upset as we were. And totally understanding, whilst being totally professional.

Great experience with fair prices. The staff treated myself and my dog, Mina, like we were longtime patrons. Highly recommended.

Very kind and caring staff who usually work pretty quickly and efficiently! Dr. Tommy is very friendly and informative to us about our pets. Also quite affordable as far as vet clinics go! I have definitely referred a lot of friends and family to bring their pets here.

I was introduced to Dr. Cargill at the young age of 5-6years old. I am now 22 years old, and have all of my babies get checked by him. My family also has had a total of 6 animals come through him. Two are still alive and thriving- including our cat with FIV. He was given a year or so life expectancy by an A&M vet, but he is still here five years later and as healthy as can be under Dr. Cargill’s care. No magic fix- he just has the incredible knack for helping the owners find a happy equilibrium for pets with conditions like that. All of my family’s previous animals all passed away from old age- with Dr. Cargill grieving along with us. If your pet is part of your family, Dr. Cargill is the choice for you.
