How to Save on Veterinary Costs at ZippiVet
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

If your pet shows even the slightest reactivity, this clinic will require multiple “happy visits” before doing anything. Once you jump through those hoops, they’ll still turn you away, claim they’re scared of your pet, and send you home with anxiety meds instead. After paying for the meds and waking up at 6 AM for an early appointment, they STILL refused treatment because my pet yelped. Of course they did—needles hurt. That’s a normal reaction, not aggression. This place is disorganized, inconsistent, and incredibly frustrating. They waste your time, money, and energy, then refuse to provide care. Completely unprofessional. DO NOT take your pet here.

One star. On day 3 after Whopper’s surgery, we brought him to ZippiVet Arboretum for a follow-up because we were worried — he was panting, lethargic, and the surgical area looked swollen and inflamed. The vet examined him and told us this was “normal” for a large breed, gave us no antibiotics, and sent us home. Four days later, Whopper died from what we now know was likely an infection that could have been treated. If this vet had shown any urgency or taken our concerns seriously, our boy would still be alive. We trusted them to help us, and they failed us. We will never forget the pain and regret of that day.

This place killed my son’s perfectly healthy 2 year old Great Dane during a routine neuter . When the brought him in because he wasn’t eating or acting normal they were told he is fine and 2 days later he died . Do not ever use these people !! We were told by the vet where he passed he had a terrible infection.

I never even made it through the front door, and I’m glad. As a first-time customer, I expected a standard confirmation text. What I got instead was hostility and threats because I didn’t reply immediately to a message sent one minute prior. I understand that in this industry pets are the priority, but humans are the ones paying the bills. Threatening a new client before you’ve even met them is a baffling business strategy. It screams entitlement and immaturity. If this is how they treat you when they are trying to earn your business, I can only imagine how poorly they treat you once they have your money. Avoid.

I’ve gone to ZippiVet around 5 or 6 times for my Yorkie puppy Bear. I began beginning him after he was around 2 months old and have gone now for two months. The waiting area is always clean and the staff are always great with Bear. They check up on Bear to see how he is doing after each round of shots which is nice. They also offer complimentary water and coffee. The only knock I would give to them is I feel they charge double for nail trimming. Most places I see charge $10.00 for it and they charge $20.00. Great place by in large though!
