Dr. Locke and the team were amazing with my old husky. I brought my dog because she was weak and lost her appetite. I was afraid of something chronic and terminal, but I was hopping for something infectious and treatable. It was a Sunday (4th of July long weekend). Our regular vet had an appointment until next Friday. Of course, we could not wait that long with my husky not eating. Dr. Locke told me my dog was dehydrated and had pale gums. She was afraid of some internal bleeding. To which she suggested an ultrasound and some some studies to find out what was happening to her. The studies were expensive but the vet tech or medical assistant (I am sorry I don't know the correct term) told me that everything was optional it was up to me to decide what to choose and pay. So I called my husband to decode what to do, and we agreed to only choose treatment for her symptoms and keep the appointment with her regular vet...although I at least wanted to do the ultrasound to know if my husky had something terminal...but we didn't choose it. Then Dr. Locke came again to tell me she did the ultrasound (at no cost) because she was not cormftable sending my dog back home only with treatment for 1 day without knowing the real problem . She found out cancer with metastasis and free liquid on her abdomen. It was a really bad scenario, so she changed the plan and offered to put her to sleep. Of course, my family wanted to see our dog one last time, so I asked to take her back home with pain medication, and then we came back. They charge me only one appointment and we're very open with we leaving and coming back. They secured an appointment for us to come back in the evening and have all the time needed for this last moment. They never rushed me to make a decision and gave me all the time we needed to say goodbye. Yes, this clinic is not cheap, but they gave us all that what we needed in that difficult moment (also available when no one else was working). Dr. Locke did what every health professional should do.... She did what she thought was best for my dog instead of what was best for the business. I am glad we found this clinic. Also, they have beautiful installations with snacks for you and comfortable beds for dogs. This is the first clinic I see they have beds for their patients.

I'm incredibly grateful this was even an option! When my poor baby stopped urinating, we were able to get in within an hour after selecting a place in line. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I appreciated the doctor's straightforward approach and sense of urgency. Hopefully we don't need to come back but thankful we're do close ❤️🤗 Thanks team!

I took my Great Pyrenees on 11-2-2024 and I was so happy that was the place I went. They were caring and careful with Leia’s injury. Respectful to let me think what they recommended and very kind and empathetic to how I took it. The bandage was so well done it didn’t fall or tore. Unlike other places, they have been responsive since then via text when I have asked them about the progress. I hope I don’t have to, but I’d go back to them if I ever have another emergency. Doc Jennifer was amazing and so was Katherine.

There are no words to describe the sadness we are going through. Just yesterday 10/02/24, our beloved dog, Jezzy out of nowhere started having seizures, at one point they had pauses but then they were followed, they did not stop. Desperately we put her in our car to go to a hospital but right in front of our home was VCA Animal Hospitals Urgent Care. We didn't hesitate to go and immediately one of the nurses went out to see Jezzy, and even though I told her I didn't have the full money to bring her in and seeing how bad she was she didn't hesitate to lift her up by herself, 90lbs!! and took her to be stabilized. The staff was very friendly everyone, The doctor, the nurses, assistants, everyone. The only name I can remember was Jessica Butterfly (something like that. Sorry I don't remember) she was the one that carried Jezzy in. They were all compassionate, patient, explained the options to us, and gave us our time and space to decide. Sadly our beloved dog died. I have never seen a medical staff so caring, so compassionate for our pain. We were allowed to look for our little son to say the last goodbye. They put Jezzy in a separate room, clean and wrapped up and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. And they helped us as much as possible to lower the cost of care and cremation, which I thought was going to be highly expensive but it wasn't. Truly God bless you all. And keep working with your hearts and love. This was a very traumatic situation but the doctor en staff help us to manage it the best way possible. Thank you all again

Dr. Trevino and the entire care team here are absolutely amazing. They were so caring and accommodating to me and my cat, Poppy. Not to mention, the virtual waiting room is a game changer. I can guarantee your babies will be in great hands here ❤️
