How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Crossing Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

First vet visit in Austin and got referred to Crossing Animal Clinic - Best vet that we've ever been to! My 110lb dog is often terrified of the vet due to multiple people holding him down to get his blood taken/shots - But this staff was amazing, calm and professional with him and he did amazing. Very happy with my visit and will be coming back.

Brought my cat Killian in for a check up. He needs steroids for allergies etc. He needs to take half a pill. They literally halved the pills for me. Had no idea until I opened it for first dose. Phenomenal. Huge fan.

The whole team at Crossing Animal Clinic is incredible. They helped take care of my sweet doggo when she was still in foster care, and Dr. Howell was so wonderful and the vet tecs were all so patient, kind and thorough that we kept making the 40 min drive up to see them even once we moved. I am so grateful for the whole team and would highly recommend them!

We were referred by a Great Pyrenees rescue/trainer years ago, as our fur baby gets a little nervous going to the vet. Crossing Animal Clinic was so great with our German Shepherd mix and made vet trips for us so much more manageable. The staff understand aggressive breeds and we never felt the stigma of having brought one there. Jasmine, in particular, was a HUGE asset to us during an international military move. Her research helped saved us thousands of dollars and we were able to get all of our rabies tests and health certificates timely. She helped make a stressful move a lot easier by helping us get our dog mentally prepared and by communicating every step of the process. Overall, we loved going here and really can’t recommend them enough!
