How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Clinic East

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Our precious Betty, our golden retriever nearly died from an illness and we felt so helpless. The staff took such great care of her and calmed her the entire time. She was kept as comfortable as possible. They installed a microchip for future safety and continue to give all her shots and medication. She still remembers how they saved her life and wags her tail with excitement every time we visit. We are forever grateful to the doctors and staff who are exceptionally caring and gifted.

We had to make the very hard decision to end our cat’s suffering at Animal Clinic East. I’ve been to many vets offices and by far these are the most caring and compassionate people. They took such good care of our boy, Rudy….and us. I can’t thank them enough for the experience they gave us. They truly went above and beyond and sent us a lovely card and our babies paw print. Thank you thank you thank you.

I want to see something positive first.. Vet was very nice. The office was very clean, beautiful place. There was a misunderstanding about the pricing, Took my bird to get a beak trim. Vet said the beak was ok, but she took a tiny bit off the tip and I paid $36.00 in advance. I asked if she thought the nails should be trimmed. I thought it was included. When I left the office, thinking I already paid. They called me and said I owed another $36.00. Holy cow, I was in shock .. But I gracefully paid, never again will I go there, I just wish I was told that it'll be 36 more dollars. Live and learn. Thank you .

I've been a client of Animal Clinic East for about a year now. I see Dr. Love because I have a Boxer and she does, too, so I know she knows the unique issues that come with the breed. She's been great with my boy, who's a rescue and has some problems. She's patient with him, answers questions about treatment options, and seems to be up to date on current literature and treatments, which is really important to me. The office and techs have been great, too. The only thing I don't like is the inability to see a doctor on Saturday. I ended up taking my cat to my previous vet for an emergency because they were open on a Saturday and I didn't want to go to the emergency vet who didn't know him at all. Most people work during the week and it's very inconvenient not to have vet staff on the weekends even for regular visits.
