How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Beautiful, clean office and friendly staff. They took my pup and I back quickly and I had virtually no waiting time at all. The examination and echocardiogram were done efficiently. Afterward Dr. Jacobson patiently explained my dog's heart murmur with its risks and potential for progression (while drawing a diagram on a white board). My visit was a breeze and I will happily go back to Dr. Jacobson next year for annual check up.

Dr. Jacobson and his staff are just fantastic to work with. Going to the vet, especially when there is potential for bad news, can be hard, but we were immediately put at ease by the professional, compassionate staff. Dr. Jacobson is thorough, confident, incredibly patient and compassionate, and intelligent. He talked us through possible scenarios and explained exactly what he thinks is happening with our precious dog-ter. We HIGHLY recommend, without any reservations at all, Charleston Veterinary Cardiology.

Dr. Jacobson saved our cat’s life. We went to two different vets in Savannah, GA before she was diagnosed with heart failure. The nearest feline cardiologist was two hours away, but that wasn’t an issue, because we were blessed to find the entire team at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology. Our little baby was hours away from passing, but due to the knowledge and compassion of this team, she is still happy and healthy almost a year later.

Doctor Jacobson and his staff were very professional and knowledgeable. They took their time to explain our Cady's condition and prognosis which gave us a solid understanding of all aspects of her care.

This practice is wonderful. Dr Jacobson is the best veterinarian cardiologist and Dr. Rittenberg is a wonderful internist. The staff is always friendly and willing to help explain everything going on with your fuzzy kids. I am so glad I found them.
