How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Buxmont Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Nicole and staff are awesome! They treated my dog Scarlett as if she were family. Dr. Nicole took the time to listen to all my concerns and addressed them. She herself called me with the results from Scarlett’s bloodwork. And, she worked around our scheduling conflict. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Nicole & her staff are amazing! They go out of their way to do anything for our dogs as did Dr. Arlene Rosenfeld before her. The office being 5 minutes away is just the icing on the cake. We’re very happy with this office, recommend them to people we know & highly recommend them to anyone who wants their furbabies treated well & at a reasonable price.

My senior dog Hayley has been going to Buxmont her entire life, and we recently had another great visit! Hayley is one of the only dogs I’ve ever known to actually enjoy going to the vet. That’s a testament to how great the staff at Buxmont is! She is so loved and cared for (and not to mention a little spoiled) by all members of the staff. I feel so comfortable every time we come in and have no doubts that her health is in great hands. Thank you to everyone at Buxmont for treating my baby as if she were your own.

I used to take my dog here all the time growing up and we were often times very disrespected by the staff/vets. I only remember 2 visits that went well but often times we were blamed and criticized heavily for my dogs health concerns that we did everything to mitigate/resolve. I haven't been back since 2019 but I will continue to go to the amazing vet I changed my pets to. My dog Nala also got very sick from the daycare they have (she got Canine Distemper), where the staff promised to compensate us for the medical bills but they never did.
