How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Richland Veterinary Associates
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This is my first time giving anybody a negative reveiw online but here it is. I would give them a zero if I could right now. We take all of animals there (2 cats, 1 dog) regularly and it's now clear to me that they clearly have no compassion for animals and only care about $. The vet would refused us of oral flea meds for our cat without a "visit". Our dog was literally just there, and I know that both cats have been there within 12-15 months but they apparently have a 12 mo. Policy. I would totally understand if the animal hadnt been seen in several years but that is not the case at all. I will say that we had no prior issues with them before today and had been happy to this point. We will be seeking a new vet.

A great place to take your "family" member for an annual well check or emergency visit. The staff is super nice and they care about the patient. If you need special food or medication you can call ahead and they will have it ready for you. You may even learn a few things about an animal's anatomy during a visit. A wonderful place even in the saddest of situations, the folks here can help you through it all. Super helpful

We’ve taken our animals here for years and they’re the best around! Dr. Tiffany always takes extra time to make our anxious animals feel safe and comfortable. We took in two new kittens today and Dr. Tiffany and the veterinary nurses were so sweet and caring! Megalodon was comfortable enough to take a little cat nap during his appointment!

They are extremely rude and have no compassion for animals! If I could give a 0 for their review I would. They lost 2 vets and now I see why. If they can't handle taken care of distressed animals they should just close down and let Somerset veterinary hospital do what they do best.
