How to Save Money at Greentree Animal Clinic South
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We’ve been coming to both locations since we moved to the Greentree area back in 2018 and the care we’ve received has been phenomenal. With the addition of the south location, it’s easier to get in for an appointment for our established four legged family members. I did notice some really negative reviews on here which seem a tad unfair to drop a one star. I understand mistakes happen but no place or person is going to be 1000% perfect. Knocking a business for a mishap is understandable, then go ahead and rate them as a whole vs one situation, that’s my opinion! I’m saying this because of the level of care all of my animals have received, including when we had to say goodbye to our 17 year old cat, Bruno. When we had to finally say goodbye, it was extremely tough and difficult and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, supportive and sincere. We will continue taking our animals here and if you’re looking for a veterinarian hospital that in my opinion is one of the best in the area, you can’t go wrong picking Greentree Animal clinic!

I am extremely disappointed with Greentree Animal Clinic, especially since they opened their Bridgeville location. The level of care has declined drastically. My dog passed away in February, yet I recently received a postcard in the mail, notifying me that he was past due for his annual appointment. No call, no personal outreach—just a generic postcard. If you provided better care to your patients, you wouldn’t need to do this kind of impersonal outreach. People like me would return if we felt cared for. My dog had heart failure, and we were at the clinic frequently. Yet, at every visit, I had to repeat the list of medications that *you* prescribed. To make matters worse, I was met with shameful looks from staff when I mispronounced a medication name. This lack of professionalism and compassion is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

I love this Vet! We normally go to the one on Green-tree Rd for our cat which is lovely However they had limited appointments and we needed to get our new puppy in sooner. Well from reception to the techs to our Vet was nothing but exceptional care and warm welcoming. They babied our puppy answered all of my questions and it felt as though we found our new Vet home. The clinic is beautiful and clean. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic except if you bring your pet here for care, you and your pet will receive wonderful care and a warm welcome ❤️ Ty for your care of Ranch our Maltese . You guy’s rock!

Today was Miley’s yearly check up & everything was amazing again. The staff remembered Miley & were excited to see her. The place is always clean & organized. The staff performed each service on Miley with care & it makes me feel much more at ease. We will continue to keep coming back :)

Took my dog here for a checkup and the staff were so friendly! Staff aside, this office was in mint condition; it was clean and you can tell they really care about the animals and owners too ☺️ if I was a dog I’d refuse to go anywhere else.
