How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Plateau Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My pups are not standard, one is anxious and barks, the other has neurological issues. 50-60lbs. I love that plateau treats them individually and doesn’t make assumptions about their size or breed. They offer multiple treatment options and discuss the options as em as prices with me to decide what is best and don’t pressure me into anything.

We live in SW Bend with plenty of closer veterinary options, but we make the drive into NE for our pet’s care. We’ve always been happy, and their prices are fair especially for Bend! Thanks for helping us keep our pooches healthy and happy!

The staff is always a pleasure to deal with. They are professional and really care about the animals they take care of. I cannot say enough nice things about the people who work there. I feel like my dogs are getting the best care possible.

I can't say enough about Dr. Cook and everyone on the team at Plateau Veterinary Hospital. They have provided my cat, Luna, and dog, Lily, with the most kind, thorough, amazing care. Lily is a very shy dog - she gets very scared with new people. Dr. Cook was very patient and kind so Lily could feel comfortable in her exam. Her dental cleaning has worked wonders! Luna, my older cat, is doing incredibly well now that Dr. Cook identified Luna's thyroid issue AND her dental issue. We have been able to move forward with treatment for both and she is feeling better everyday. In addition to the amount knowledge Dr. Cook has, I have been incredibly impressed with the amount of time and thought that she has given in explaining the details, benefits, and risks for the procedures. Thank you so much!

Dr. Cook is fantastic with our boxer-pit mix. She is so knowledgeable, kind and obviously loves what she’s doing. She doesn’t rush and doesn’t order unnecessary things. Their prices are also very reasonable . 10/10 recommend!
