How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hobbs Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Dr. Hobbs was able to neuter and remove seven teeth out of my 3 pound Pomeranian. He has healed beautifully and had no complications. I am extremely satisfied and will be using him exclusively for my veterinary needs (:

Super friendly and helpful with anything related to furry babies. We take our 5 dogs a 2 cats since 2020. I truly recommend them.

Went in today to get the rest of my puppy, Shiloh’s vaccinations and some flea medicine this morning. Front desk was quick and friendly despite being busy. When the doctor saw Shiloh I could immediately tell and see his love for animals which was a great comfort. Everything was super clean. My dog got three vaccines, a basic exam, and flea + tick + dewormer meds. The best part is that it didn’t cost me my eyes and a kidney! At my old vet this could have easily been hundreds. I would highly recommend taking your pets here. This is the best place I have encountered by far!

My Bella has to get allergy shots every four months or so and she hates them. The staff is amazing and the vet is so kind.

We brought our puppy in today for some more shots and a check up. This was our first visit to this vet and Dr. Hobbs was great. Our puppy was very nervous at first but the assistant and the doctor were great with our dog and calmed him right down. So glad we chose Hobbs Veterinary Clinic.
